Mine Field
Don't hit a landmine!
Mine Field requires one quarter, a relatively small table, a shot glass, and cans or bottles of beer.
Players take turns first spinning the quarter on the table, and as it spins, pouring and taking a shot of beer.
If the quarter falls flat, or leaves the table before the player has fully poured, drank and returned the shot glass to the table, he or she must begin again.
Upon successful completion of a turn, the player passes the shot glass, the quarter, and the beer can or bottle to the next person. Only one can or bottle of beer is in use at any one time:
The reason being, on the turn the last shot of beer is poured, the player who drank it may place the empty container anywhere on the table. It must stay there for the rest of game. These empties provide obstacles, or “mines,” making the game more difficult as it progresses.
The game is over either after the completion of a case, or when it is deemed impossible to complete any more successful spins.
