Paddle Pong

Combining beer pong (beirut) and ping pong...

The game of Paddle Pong, which was the original beer pong, is played with two teams of two, a large table, paddles, one pong ball, five cups, and beer.

One cup is set to each corner and one cup set center on the table. Each of the corner cups is filled with one full twelve ounce beer. The center cup begins the game empty.

One player, chosen through whatever means necessary, begins by serving the ball via a bounce on the table, then a swat. The ball is then volleyed back and forth until it either strikes the outside of a cup, lands in a cup, or goes irretrievably off the table, called a fault.

Strikes and made cups are not valid until one player from each side has hit the ball.

A strike on the outside of a cup results in the corresponding player taking one gulp of beer from the cup. A made cup results in the corresponding player finishing the cup, and removing himself from the game.

A fault results in one shot of beer being placed in the center cup. When the center cup is made, the opposing team must collectively consume the contents immediately, before play can resume. Striking the center cup is considered a fault.

The ball is considered in play until it is irretrievably off the table. Bounces off the floor, walls and ceiling are considered valid.
