Speed Quarters
The original obnoxious bar game...
All participants in Speed Quarters sit around a table, with collectively two small cups (or rocks glasses), and two quarters.
Two people, as close to opposite each other as possible start with a cup and quarter each. A third party exclaims “GO!” And both players try to bounce their quarter in their cup as quickly as possible. They may take as many tries as they wish.
If a player makes their cup on the first try, they may pass the cup and quarter to any player at the table, otherwise they must pass them to the left.
Once someone is handed a cup when they already have one, they loose, and are required to consume an entire beer. Play then starts over with the person to their left.
Some people play this game with a re-deemer, where the person who is supposed to drink may stack the cups / glasses atop each other, and has one chance to sink the quarter. If successful, the maintain one cup, and the person to their right gets the other.
